Well, I couldn't be happier with my new Fiesta ST. Love it to death. It was a really damn long wait but worth it. Another local ordered a Fiesta ST the day after I did. Oddly enough, it is the SAME CAR AS MINE!!!!!!......Okay his had the painted wheels. But they're identical twins otherwise and probably followed one another on the assembly line and shared spots next to each other on the train and everything else. Sadly, my car's twin has become an orphan....
At some point on the journey over to Grand Rapids, MI, the other Fiesta ended up damaged. I saw some of it and it wasn't awful by any means, but after four months of waiting it isn't unrealistic to hear that the guy who ordered it ran out to another dealer and took an undamaged one out of stock. From what I saw the front fenders and fascia had some damage and a mirror was knocked off. Definitely nothing some new bits wouldn't fix. And it drove just fine. So now they have it back up for sale on the lot. A soon-to-be-pristine Fiesta ST is now going to sit and be a lot bitch while the identical twin gets to sit in a nice comfortable parking space getting driven by the same enthusiast every morning :(
Please, won't one of you magnificent bastards adopt

Wait, wait, wait. This thing was DAMAGED and then subsequently repaired, and it's still selling for 25k? Or is my reading comprehension off (has been a bad day).

MSRP of my car + fees and delivery was over 25k so with the additional 400$ for painted wheels that would be the sticker price. I paid invoice for mine and I bet that one will go for about the price mine did despite having the painted wheels.
Keep in mind - nothing was damaged in a "car crash" type way. It is actually quite common for a car to have a bit of shipping damage and a side effect of the 5mph crash standards mean that that damage is effectively harmless. It's why you often see some ugly cladding or vinyl or something on cars on the shipping trucks - to protect those points that are likely to be damaged in transit. However those repairs take time and in the case of the ST, the fascia had to be special ordered as the normal fiesta front end is different.
Either that or these cars are triplets because I *swear* that should be the same car and my salesman did a follow up email and told me what happened when I asked. If it is a triplet and the damaged car was taken in then we really need to get all three together again. They're family now.

Hmm....I just don't trust a paint job that's not a factory job. At least not when buying something brand, brand new. I've had enough car repairs in my lifetime to know that screws and plastic fasteners (damn you automotive world for inventing these) don't always like being pulled out and inserted a second-time. All too often do I get a car back and think "Well, that certainly didn't rattle before" so I'd just feel jipped to pay sticker price for something that has been taken apart already.
Give me a new one and I'll gladly join the cult....uhh I mean family .

I'm pretty sure they just replaced the fenders. The underlying structures shouldn't have been damaged in any way. Why bother paint matching when Ford will just send you a fresh set of fenders and a new front end and mirror?

Still, it should have some kind of discount.

This. That's the only reason why I went with the Focus ST. I was too cramped in the Fiesta.
